The company founded in 1989 based in Switzerland, is a manufacturer of PC-based controller systems, designed for inkjet-imaging and personalization in the graphical and mailing industry. After a two year development phase the company in January 2004 came up with its first inkjet printer, based on drop on demand (DOD) technology.
Further inkjet printers were launched in spring the same year and were shown the first time to a much broader public at the DRUPA exhibition in May 2004. Since then, manufacturing of inkjets has become a veritable business and the inkjets turned out to be a perfect match and supplement to the company’s roots, the controllers. GT has always stuck to its policy to rather organize its worldwide sales through OEM’s
and resellers than to develop its own sales channels.
In 2007 GT developed its first Digital Printing Machine, and is now placed mostly in the Digital Printing business.
In May 2012 the company has been sold to Domino Printing Sciences, UK. Since then GT is going on to develop these Digital Printing Systems in a worldwide market and produce various different Inkjet- and Digital Printing Machines.
The company has grown since it was founded and now employs more than 70 people, working at three different locations.
The Head office is situated in Oftringen, the Production Office is in Egliswil and the Electronic Engineering in Solothurn.
